भारत के कोरोना वायरस संक्रमण से पीड़ित शीर्ष-10 देशों में शामिल होने के लिए विशेषज्ञों ने यात्रा प्रतिबंधों में दी गई ढील और प्रवासियों के आवागमन को जिम्मेदार बताया है। विशेषज्ञों ने इसे बाढ़ के दौरान बांध के फ्लड गेट खोल देने सरीखा कदम करार दिया और साथ ही यह भी चेतावनी दी है कि आने वाले दिनों में संक्रमण के प्रसार में जंगल की आग सरीखी तेजी दिख सकती है।

डॉ. चंद्रकांत एस. पांडव ने रेल व सड़क परिवहन सेवाओं के  सीमित संचालन और प्रवासियों की अपने घरों में वापसी पर टिप्पणी करते हुए कहा, आपने फ्लड गेट खोल दिए हैं। डॉ. पांडव इंडियन पब्लिक हेल्थ एसोसिएशन और इंडियन एसोसिएशन ऑफ प्रिवेंटिव एंड सोशल मेडिसिन के पूर्व अध्यक्ष हैं।

उन्होंने कहा, इसे कोरोना वायरस संक्रमण के जंगल की आग की तरफ फैलने के लिए आदर्श वातावरण तैयार करने का क्लासिक केस कहा जा सकता है। आने वाले दिनों में कोरोना संक्रमण के मामले नाटकीय तरीके से बढ़ हो सकते हैं। उन्होंने कहा, हालांकि यह सच है कि लॉकडाउन हमेशा के लिए नहीं रखा जा सकता, लेकिन इसे खोलने का काम ज्यादा जांच और सूचनाबद्ध तरीके से होना चाहिए था। यात्रा से संक्रमण के फैलाव की दर बढ़ सकती है।

एम्स के निदेशक रणदीप गुलेरिया के मुताबिक, फिलहाल संक्रमित मामलों में बढ़ोतरी हॉटस्पॉट इलाकों में ही ज्यादा देखने को मिल रही है, लेकिन आने वाले दिनों में यात्रा बढ़ने के कारण कोरोना वायरस (कोविड-19) से अन्य स्थानों में भी संक्रमित लोगों की संख्या में और ज्यादा बढ़ोतरी हो सकती है।

उन्होंने कहा, संक्रमण के लक्षण नहीं होने या शुरुआती लक्षणों वाले लोग थर्मल स्क्रीनिंग सिस्टम में पार हो जाएंगे और ये उन इलाकों में जाएंगे, जहां बेहद कम या न के बराबर मामले हैं। ऐसे इलाकों में इसके बाद संक्रमण की दर बढ़ सकती है। उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि कोरोना टेस्ट की क्षमता में बेहद बढ़ोतरी के चलते भी संक्रमित मामलों की संख्या बढ़ी हुई दिखाई दे रही है।

उन्होंने कहा, लोगों के सड़कों पर निकलने के समय यदि उचित सोशल डिस्टेंसिंग और हाथों की सफाई पर ध्यान नहीं देना भारी पड़ सकता है। उन्होंने कहा कि ऐसे हालात में एक व्यक्ति से दूसरे में संक्रमण का ट्रांसमिशन ज्यादा तेजी से फैल सकता है। 

डॉ. पांडव और एम्स के निदेशक गुलेरिया, दोनों ने ही सरकार को हालात काबू करने के लिए सामुदायिक निगरानी और सर्विलांस को मजूबत करने की जरूरत जताई। डॉ. पांडव ने कहा, अब सरकार को संक्रमण पर काबू पाने के लिए मजूबत सर्विलांस सुनिश्चित करना होगा। एम्स निदेशक ने भी माना कि महामारी के फैलाव पर काबू करने के लिए उन इलाकों में ज्यादा मजबूत सर्विलांस की आवश्यकता है, जहां प्रवासियों की वापसी हो रही है।

कन्फेडरेशन ऑफ मेडिकल एसोसिएशन ऑफ एशिया एंड ओसेनिया (सीएमएएओ) के अध्यक्ष डॉ. केके अग्रवाल ने कहा, यदि प्रवासियों का बिना उचित सोशल डिस्टेंसिंग के आना जारी रहा तो आने वाले दिनों में संक्रमण के मामलों में और ज्यादा उछाल आएगा। इंडियन मेडिकल एसोसिएशन (आईएमए) के पूर्व अध्यक्ष डॉ. अग्रवाल ने कहा, अगले 10 दिन में संक्रमितों की संख्या 2 लाख के पार हो जाएगी।

तीसरे लॉकडाउन के अंत तक संक्रमण में बढ़ोतरी रहना और चौथे लॉकडाउन में भी इसका जारी रहना दिखाता है कि लोगों ने आवश्यक शारीरिक दूरी का पालन नहीं किया है। उन्होंने कहा, मई के अंत में तेज तापमान के बावजूद संक्रमित मामलों की बढ़ती संख्या का मतलब है कि मानव से मानव में संक्रमण का स्थानांतरण किसी सतह से मानव में पहुंचने के मुकाबले ज्यादा हो रहा है।
