भारत और चीनी सेना के बीच पूर्वी लद्दाख में एक महीने से चल रहे कटु विवाद को खत्म करने के लिए दोनों पक्षों के बीच वरिष्ठ सैन्य अधिकारियों की बैठक शनिवार को शुरू हो गई है। भारतीय सेना के सूत्रों के मुताबिक यह बैठक चीन के मोल्डो में हो रही है। लेह के 14 कॉर्प्स के जनरल ऑफिसर कमांडिंग, लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल हरिंदर सिंह इस बैठक में भारत का प्रतिनिधित्व कर रहे हैं। वहीं चीन की तरफ से इस बैठक में मेजर जनरल लियू लिन शामिल हुए हैं।

भारतीय सेना के प्रवक्ता ने कहा, ‘भारतीय और चीनी अधिकारी भारत-चीन सीमा क्षेत्रों में मौजूदा स्थिति से निपटने के लिए स्थापित सैन्य और राजनयिक चैनलों के माध्यम से बातचीत कर रहे हैं। इस स्तर पर अटकलों को लेकर किसी भी तरह की गलत रिपोर्टिंग मददगार नहीं होगी इसलिए मीडिया को इससे दूर रहने की सलाह दी जाती है।’
