मध्य प्रदेश के इंदौर शहर पर कोरोना वायरस का प्रकोप कुछ ज्यादा ही फैलता जा रहा है। प्रदेश में सबसे ज्यादा प्रभावित यही राज्य है। बढ़ते मामलों के बीच सोमवार को इंदौर के केंद्रीय जेल में चार और कैदी संक्रमित हो गए। 

इससे पहले भी दो कैदी कोरोना पॉजिटिव पाए जा चुके हैं, जिसके बाद से जेल प्रशासन में हड़कंप मच गया है। केंद्रीय जेल के अधीक्षक राकेश कुमार भांगरे ने जानकारी देते हुए बताया कि ये चारों कैदी संक्रमित होने के संदेह में 17 अप्रैल से शासकीय महाराजा यशवंतराव चिकित्सालय के चेस्ट वॉर्ड में भर्ती थे। इनकी उम्र 28 से 34 वर्ष के बीच है।

जेल प्रशासन ने इन छह कैदियों के संपर्क में आने वाले अन्य बंदियों को भी अलग कर दिया है। इन्हें एक अस्थायी जेल में भेजा जा रहा है। इस जेल की क्षमता 1230 कैदियों की है, लेकिन अभी यहां 220 कैदी बंद हैं।  

जेल अधीक्षक ने बताया कि जेल की बैरकों को सात सेक्टरों में बांटकर कैदियों से शारीरिक दूरी के नियमों का पालन कराया जा रहा है। कैदियों को मास्क भी बांटे गए हैं। नगर निगम की मदद से बैरकों को संक्रमणमुक्त किया गया है

पिछले 24 घंटे में इंदौर में तीन और मरीजों की मौत के बाद इस महामारी से दम तोड़ने वालों की तादाद बढ़कर 52 पर पहुंच गई है। साथ ही सात नए मरीज मिलने के बाद जिले में संक्रमितों की कुल तादाद 890 से बढ़कर 897 पर पहुंच गई है। इनमें से 71 मरीजों को इलाज के बाद स्वस्थ होने पर अस्पतालों से छुट्टी दी जा चुकी है।
