देश में कोरोना वायरस संक्रमण के मामले तेजी से बढ़ते जा रहे हैं। अब भारत ने इटली को पीछे छोड़कर कोरोना वायरस वैश्विक महामारी से सबसे बुरी तरह से प्रभावित देशों की सूची में छठे नंबर पर पहुंच गया है। देश में पिछले 24 घंटे में सबसे ज्यादा 9,887 नए मरीज सामने आए हैं जिसके बाद देश में कोविड-19 के मामले 2,36,657 हो गए हैं।

भारत में शनिवार सुबह आठ बजे तक पिछले 24 घंटे में कोरोना वायरस के कारण 294 मरीजों ने दम तोड़ दिया जिसके बाद मृतकों की संख्या बढ़कर 6,642 हो गई है।

अमेरिका की जॉन्स हॉपकिंस विश्वविद्यालयों के आंकड़ों के मुताबिक, अमेरिका, ब्राजील, रूस, स्पेन और ब्रिटेन के बाद कोरोना वायरस से सर्वाधिक प्रभावित देशों की सूची में भारत अब छठे स्थान पर आ गया है।

केंद्रीय स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय ने बताया कि देश में 1,15,942 संक्रमित मरीजों का उपचार चल रहा है जबकि 1,14,072 लोग स्वस्थ हो चुके हैं और एक मरीज देश से बाहर जा चुका है। स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय के एक वरिष्ठ अधिकारी ने कहा कि अब तक 48.20 फीसदी मरीज स्वस्थ हो चुके हैं। संक्रमण के मामलों में विदेशी नागरिक भी शामिल हैं।

शुक्रवार सुबह से अब तक 294 लोगों की मौत हुई है जिनमें से 139 ने महाराष्ट्र में दम तोड़ा है। दिल्ली में 58, गुजरात में 35, तमिलनाडु और उत्तर प्रदेश में 12-12, पश्चिम बंगाल में 11, तेलंगाना में आठ, मध्यप्रदेश में सात, राजस्थान में पांच, आंध्र प्रदेश में दो और जम्मू-कश्मीर, ओडिशा, पंजाब, झारखंड तथा उत्तराखंड में एक-एक मरीज की मौत हुई है।

देश में इस खतरनाक वायरस से अब तक 6,642 लोगों की मौत हो चुकी है। इनमें से सबसे ज्यादा 2,849 मौतें महाराष्ट्र में हुई हैं। इसके बाद गुजरात में 1,190, दिल्ली में 708, मध्यप्रदेश में 384, पश्चिम बंगाल में 366, उत्तर प्रदेश में 257, तमिलनाडु में 232, राजस्थान में 218, तेलंगाना में 113 और आंध्र प्रदेश में 73 लोगों की मौत हुई है।

कर्नाटक में 57 और पंजाब में 48 मरीजों की संक्रमण के कारण जान गई है। जम्मू-कश्मीर में 36 लोगों की मौत हुई है जबकि बिहार में 29, हरियाणा में 24, केरल में 14, उत्तराखंड में 11, ओडिशा में आठ और झारखंड में सात लोगों की मौत हुई है।

हिमाचल प्रदेश और चंडीगढ़ में कोविड-19 से पांच-पांच लोगों की मौत हुई। असम में चार जबकि छत्तीसगढ़ में दो लोगों की मौत हुई। मेघालय और लद्दाख में एक-एक रोगी की मौत हुई है। मंत्रालय के आंकड़ों के मुताबिक, मेघालय और लद्दाख में एक-एक मौत हुई है। मंत्रालय की वेबसाइट के अनुसार मृतकों में 70 फीसदी वैसे लोग हैं जो पहले से ही अन्य बीमारियों से पीड़ित थे।
