कोरोना वायरस महामारी को फैलने से रोकने के लिए लागू लॉकडाउन के कारण बालाघाट में कथित रूप से एक व्यक्ति ने अपने बेटे की हत्या कर दी। जानकारी के मुताबिक बेरोजगार हुए 37 वर्षीय एक व्यक्ति ने परिवार को भोजन न मिलने से परेशान होकर अपने आठ वर्षीय बेटे के दोनों हाथ बांधकर वैनगंगा नदी में डुबोकर शुक्रवार दोपहर हत्या कर दी।

हत्या करने के बाद आरोपी पिता पहले अपने घर गया और घर में बेटे को नदी में डुबोकर मारने की बात बताने के बाद फिर खुद कोतवाली पुलिस थाना पहुंच कर पुलिस हत्या की जानकारी दी। उसे गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया है।

कोतवाली पुलिस थाना प्रभारी विजय सिंह परस्ते ने बताया कि नगर के सरस्वती नगर क्षेत्र में निवास करने वाले सुनील जायसवाल ने आज दोपहर अपने पुत्र प्रतीक जायसवाल (आठ) की नदी में डुबोकर हत्या कर दी। उन्होंने कहा कि हत्या करने के बाद आरोपी स्वयं कोतवाली पुलिस थाना पहुंचा और मामले की जानकारी दी।

परस्ते ने बताया कि उसके द्वारा दी गई जानकारी के बाद पुलिस ने मौके पर पहुंच कर बच्चे का शव बरामद किया। बच्चे के दोनों हाथ पीछे की ओर बंधे थे। उन्होंने कहा कि मामले में आरोपी पिता के खिलाफ आईपीसी की धारा 302 (हत्या) का मामला दर्ज कर गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया है।

परस्ते ने कहा कि आरोपी पिता ने पुलिस को दिए अपने बयान में बताया कि लॉकडाउन के कारण उसके पास कोई काम नहीं था। इसलिए अपने परिवार को पालने में अक्षम होने के कारण उसने अपने बेटे की हत्या कर दी है।

उन्होंने कहा कि आरोपी ने कहा कि बेटे को मार कर वह अपना वंश खत्म करना चाहता था। वहीं, परिजनों के अनुसार आरोपी काम नहीं होने के कारण अक्सर तनाव में रहता था।

पुलिस से मिली जानकारी के अनुसार आज आरोपी की बड़ी बेटी जिसकी उम्र 10 साल है का जन्मदिन भी था। जिसके लिए केक लेने के नाम पर आरोपी पिता अपने बेटे को लेकर घर से निकला था।
