क्राउन प्रॉसिक्यूशन सर्विस के बैरिस्टर हेलेन मैल्कम की तरफ से भारतीय अधिकारियों की ओर से पेश किए जाने के एक दिन बाद मोदी की कानूनी टीम ने यह टिप्पणी की। अदालत में कहा गया था कि मोदी ने पंजाब नेशनल बैंक (पीएनबी) से धोखेबाजी की रकम हासिल की।
