कांग्रेस के पूर्व अध्यक्ष राहुल गांधी ने शनिवार को प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी सरकार से आग्रह किया कि वह आर्थिक पैकेज पर पुनर्विचार करें और लोगों के खातों में सीधे पैसे डालें क्योंकि इस वक्त उन्हें कर्ज की नहीं, बल्कि सीधी आर्थिक मदद की जरूरत है। उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि सरकार को लॉकडाउन को समझदारी एवं सावधानी के साथ खोलने की जरूरत है और बुजुर्गों एवं गंभीर बीमारियों से ग्रसित लोगों का विशेष ध्यान रखना चाहिए।

गांधी ने वीडियो लिंक के माध्यम से संवाददाताओं से कहा, ‘जो पैकेज होना चाहिए था वो कर्ज का पैकेज नहीं होना चाहिए था। इसको लेकर मेरी निराशा है। आज किसानों, मजदूरों और गरीबों के खाते में सीधे पैसे डालने की जरूरत है।’ उन्होंने कहा, ‘आप (सरकार) कर्ज दीजिए, लेकिन भारत माता को अपने बच्चों के साथ साहूकार का काम नहीं करना चाहिए, सीधे उनकी जेब में पैसे देना चाहिए। इस वक्त गरीबों, किसानों और मजदूरों को कर्ज की जरूरत नहीं, पैसे की जरूरत है।’

कांग्रेस नेता ने कहा, ‘मैं विनती करता हूं कि नरेंद्र मोदी जी को पैकेज पर पुनर्विचार करना चाहिए। किसानों और मजदूरों को सीधे पैसे देने के बारे में सोचिए।’ उन्होंने कहा, ‘मैंने सुना है कि पैसे नहीं देने का कारण रेटिंग है। कहा जा रहा है कि वित्तीय घाटा बढ़ जाएगा तो बाहर की एजेंसियां हमारे देश की रेटिंग कम कर देंगी। हमारी रेटिंग मजदूर, किसान, छोटे कारोबारी बनाते हैं। इसलिए रेटिंग के बारे में मत सोचिए, उन्हें पैसा दीजिए। आप न्याय जैसी योजना लागू कर सकते हैं। आप इसे कोई और नाम दे सकते हैं।’
