राज्यातील सर्व खाजगी, अनुदानित, विनाअनुदानित अंशतः अनुदानित व तुकड्यांवर 1 नोव्हेंबर 2005 पूर्वी नियुक्त झालेल्या सर्व शिक्षक व शिक्षकेतर कर्मचाऱ्यांना जुनी पेन्शन योजना लागू करण्याबाबत अभ्यास करण्यासाठी अपर मुख्य सचिव, शालेय शिक्षण यांच्या अध्यक्षतेखाली समिती गठित करण्यात आली आहे. या समितीला 1 मेपर्यंत मुदतवाढ देण्यात आली आहे. 


या समितीचा अहवाल आल्यानंतर जुनी पेन्शन योजना लागू करण्यासंदर्भात निर्णय घेतला जाईल, असे शालेय शिक्षणमंत्री प्रा. वर्षा गायकवाड यांनी विधानपरिषदेत सांगितले.


सदस्य विक्रम काळे यांनी जुनी निवृत्तीवेतन योजना शिक्षक व शिक्षकेतर कर्मचाऱ्यांना लागू करण्यासंदर्भातील लक्षवेधी उपस्थित केली होती. या लक्षवेधीला उत्तर देताना गायकवाड बोलत होत्या. 1 नोव्हेंबर 2005 पूर्वी शंभर टक्के अनुदानावर असलेल्या शाळांमध्ये नियुक्त झालेल्या शिक्षक / शिक्षकेतर कर्मचाऱ्यांना जुनी निवृत्ती वेतन योजना लागू होते. तर 1 नोव्हेंबर 2005 पूर्वी टप्पा अनुदानावर(20, 40, 60 आणि 80 टक्के) असलेल्या शाळांमध्ये नियुक्ती झालेल्या शाळांना परिभाषित अंशदान योजना लागू होते.


2005 पूर्वी टप्पा अनुदानावर असलेल्या शाळांना जुनी पेन्शन योजना लागू करण्याची मागणी शिक्षक व शिक्षकेतर वर्गातून करण्यात आली आहे. ही मागणी लक्षात घेता अपर मुख्य सचिव शालेय शिक्षण यांच्या अध्यक्षतेखाली समिती नेमण्यात आली आहे. या समिताचा अहवाल आल्यानंतर शिक्षक आमदार आणि वित्तमंत्र्यांशी चर्चा करण्यात येऊन निर्णय घेण्यात येणार असल्याचे श्रीमती गायकवाड यांनी सांगितले. लक्षवेधीवरील चर्चेत सदस्य सर्वश्री प्रा. अनिल सोले, डॉ. सुधीर तांबे, नागो गाणार, प्रवीण दरेकर, कपिल पाटील, प्रा. जोगेंद्र कवाडे, भाई गिरकर यांनी भाग घेतला.
