देश में करीब ढाई महीने लॉकडाउन के बाद धीरे-धीरे दी गई ढील के बीच संक्रमितों की संख्या 2.67 लाख के पार पहुंच चुकी है। देश में रोजाना करीब 10 हजार संक्रमित मिल रहे हैं। ऐसे में पिछले दो सप्ताह के आंकड़ों के हिसाब से देखा जाए तो कोरोना वायरस (कोविड-19) संक्रमण से सबसे ज्यादा प्रभावित शीर्ष-5 देशों में अमेरिका, रूस और ब्रिटेन में घटते संक्रमण के मुकाबले भारत और ब्राजील में इसकी गति बहुत तेज रही है। सबसे ज्यादा चिंता भारत की है, जहां दो सप्ताह पहले ब्राजील से पीछे रहने के बाद इस सप्ताह नए संक्रमण की दर उससे भी आगे निकल गई है। 

जॉन हॉपकिंस यूनिवर्सिटी के कोरोना डाटा सेंटर के मुताबिक,  फिलहाल इस जानलेवा महामारी से वैश्विक स्तर पर 71,38,885 लोग पीड़ित हो चुके हैं। सबसे ज्यादा पीड़ित देशों में अब भी अमेरिका पहले नंबर पर है, जहां 20 लाख से ज्यादा मामले मिल चुके हैं।

वहीं करीब 7 लाख मामलों के साथ ब्राजील दूसरे, जबकि करीब 5 लाख मामलों के साथ रूस तीसरे नंबर पर है। भारत फिलहाल 5वें नंबर पर चल रहा है, लेकिन उसके अगले तीन दिन में करीब 2.88 लाख मामलों के साथ चौथे नंबर पर चल रहे ब्रिटेन को पछाड़ देने की संभावना है।

संक्रमण की दर और अन्य देशों के मुकाबले भारत

आंकड़ों के हिसाब से देखें तो दो सप्ताह पहले जहां भारत और ब्राजील में नए मामले मिलने की दर 5 फीसदी से ज्यादा थी, वहीं अन्य तीनों देशों यह दर 2 फीसदी के आसपास थी। दो सप्ताह के दौरान भारत और ब्राजील में यह दर घटकर 5 फीसदी से नीचे आई है, लेकिन अब भी 4 फीसदी से ज्यादा गति से नए मामले मिल रहे हैं। इसके उलट अन्य तीनों देशों में यह दर घटकर 2 फीसदी से भी नीचे पहुंच चुकी है। ब्रिटेन में तो संक्रमण के नए मामले मिलने की गति महज 0.6 फीसदी ही बची है।

भारत में संक्रमण की दर जहां दो सप्ताह पहले 5.6 फीसदी थी, वहीं ब्राजील उस समय 5.4 फीसदी की गति से आगे बढ़ रहा था। लेकिन अब ब्राजील में यह दर घटकर 4.3 फीसदी रह गई है, वहीं भारत में घटने के बावजूद नए संक्रमण की दर अब ब्राजील से भी ज्यादा 4.4 फीसदी आंकी जा रही है। हालांकि ब्राजील के आंकड़े संदेहास्पद भी हैं, क्योंकि लगातार बढ़ते मामलों से आलोचना के बाद अब वहां की सरकार ने मासिक आंकड़े देने बंद कर दिए हैं और रोजाना नए मिलने वाले मामलों की ही जानकारी अपनी वेबसाइट पर दे रही है।

कम टेस्ट के बावजूद ज्यादा ग्रोथ रेट

सबसे ज्यादा चिंता की बात यह है कि भारत और ब्राजील में अन्य तीन देशों के मुकाबले कोरोना टेस्ट की संख्या बेहद कम होने के बावजूद नए मामले मिलने की दर उनसे कहीं ज्यादा है। एक तरफ जहां रूस प्रति एक हजार की जनसंख्या पर 87.2 टेस्ट करा रहा है, वहीं भारत का आंकड़ा महज 3.4 टेस्ट का है। भारतीय आयुर्विज्ञान अनुसंधान परिषद (आईसीएमआर) के आंकड़ों के हिसाब से देश में इस समय करीब 1.3 लाख टेस्ट रोजाना कराए जा रहे हैं, जबकि रूस में यह आंकड़ा 3 लाख और अमेरिका में 5.1 लाख टेस्ट प्रतिदिन का है। विशेषज्ञ पहले ही कह चुके हैं कि भारत में रोजाना होने वाली टेस्टिंग की क्षमता बढ़ने पर नए मामले मिलने की गति और ज्यादा तेजी से बढ़ती दिखाई देगी।
