देश में कोविड-19 के प्रसार का बड़ा केंद्र बने इंदौर में सोमवार को ईद-उल-फितर का त्योहारी उल्लास घरों में सिमट गया। गुजरे 300 साल में ऐसा पहली बार हुआ, जब शहर के एक प्रमुख ईदगाह में ईद की नमाज नहीं पढ़ी जा सकी।

इस कर्फ्यूग्रस्त शहर में हजारों लोगों ने ईद की नमाज अपने घरों में ही अदा की और इसके बाद एक-दूसरे से गले मिलने के बजाय फोन, वीडियो कॉल व सोशल मीडिया के जरिए इस त्योहार की मुबारकबाद का आदान-प्रदान किया। शहर काजी मोहम्मद इशरत अली ने संवाददाताओं को बताया कि पिछले 300 साल में ईद पर पहली बार ऐसा मौका आया है, जब (कर्फ्यू के चलते) शहर के सदर बाजार ईदगाह के ताले तक नहीं खुले।

अली ने कहा कि कोविड-19 हम इंसानों के लिए एक सजा नहीं है, तो आखिर क्या है? दुनिया भर में हर धर्म के इबादतगाह बंद पड़े हैं। ऐसे वक्त जरूरत इस बात की है कि हम इंसानियत का माहौल और भाईचारा बनाए रखें। इस बीच, पुलिस और प्रशासन के आला अफसरों ने शहर काजी के घर जाकर उन्हें ईद-उल-फितर की मुबारकबाद दी। हालांकि, इस दौरान भी शहर काजी और अफसरों को शारीरिक दूरी की हिदायतों का पालन करते देखा गया।

ईद के त्योहार पर शांति और कानून-व्यवस्था बनाए रखने के लिए जिले के अलग-अलग इलाकों में पुलिस और प्रशासन के अधिकारी-कर्मचारी तैनात रहे। कोविड-19 का प्रकोप कायम रहने के कारण इंदौर जिला अब भी रेड जोन में बना हुआ है। आधिकारिक जानकारी के मुताबिक जिले में अब तक इस महामारी के 3,064 मरीज मिले हैं। इनमें से 116 मरीजों की इलाज के दौरान मौत हो चुकी है।
