Activity 27

Instructions for students: –

(1) Read the 5th question from 6th standard textbook, page number 55.

(2) Make idiomatic pairs using and/ or. For this refer table A and B.

(3) Try to make more idiomatic pairs.

(4) If needed, take help of teachers/ parents /facilitators.

*Activity — **Collecting Butterflies*

(Pictures of Butterflies having following words on their wings and on the middle part and / or should be there.)

As a teaching aid teachers/ parents/ facilitators will make 21 paper butterflies using the words from table A and B (Page number 55

standard 6 textbook)

*About game *

Form pair. One will say one word from the butterfly’s wing. Other will join his or her word before or after the first word by using and /or.

If the second student’s answer is correct, he/she will get that butterfly. And vice versa. The one who gets more butterflies will be the winner.

Questions

1) Write the above idiomatic pairs from the Butterflies wings ‘one by one’ in your notebook and read them twice.

2) Try to find new more idiomatic pairs by using internet or Google.
